This professional learning plan was created for the "Technology and Learning" course. This plan details my strengths, weaknesses and knowledge pertaining to technology, as well as my future goals and ways in which I plan to continue my professional development. This professional learning plan addresses standard 5(a) - exhibit leadership by demonstrating a vision of technology infusion, and 5(d) - contribute to the effectiveness, vitality, and self-renewal of the teaching profession.
This was the final project I completed for the "TECH 5000 Quality Standards" course. This particular course introduces students to issues in quality standards, quality assurance and statistical inference in applied technology and process control. Topics include systems reliability, quality control, SPC, control charts, principles and methods of statistical analysis and prediction, and hypothesis testing. The purpose of this paper is to evaluate quality costs concerning Max’s B-B-Q, Inc. using what I have learned throughout this course pertaining to statistical thinking, statistical approaches, and overall quality business performance in general. While this project was completed for the MTEC program, it addresses standard 5(c) - evaluate and reflect on current research.
This research proposal was created for the "TECH 60078 Research in Technology" course. The focus of this particular course is on research techniques for the technologist, as well as methods for designing, conducting, analyzing and interpreting results of technological research. This paper, which is my final project for this class, is based on a proposal for a study on how implementing search engine optimization practices and techniques during the development and ongoing maintenance of a Website is a key factor in its overall success. As a Website developer, it is important to understand what makes a Website rank high in the search engines. The topic of search engine optimization was a perfect choice for this project. While this project was completed for the MTEC program, it addresses standard 5(c) - evaluate and reflect on current research and professional practice on a regular basis to make effective use of digital tools.
